Queen Communications Announces Electronic upgrade for SCAADAC

Queen Communication LLC (QC) announced today the electronic upgrade to SCAADAC certification files. According to company sources, SCAADAC had been maintaining some 25 legal sized file cabinets of files of certified counselors who practice in South Carolina. Garry Queen, Business Manager of QC said "We were concerned with these files as they were only hardcopy. As you're aware in case of fire, there is no backup that can reproduce these documents. With the system we've implemented, all certified counselors' files are stored electronically are backed up daily. Weekly backups are stored securely offsite. In addition to eliminating this liability, we've also made the files portable."

The system incorporates more than 50,000 scanned images along with a SQL server driven retrieval system and a linked storage area network. Total cost to implement this comprehensive system was $6,000 which after an 18 month payback, is less than the carrying costs of retaining file cabinet filing scheme.
